“Art is magic. It is a process by which we can transcend indoctrinated perception and escape, however temporary, its existential web. In art we find rhythms of the universe that are eternal, radiant… and terrifying. In its purity it contains the creative and destructive forces of chaos, a gateway to the eternal eye that sees beyond human consciousness into realms of divinity glimpsed of in dreams.
“This is my spiritual journey. It began in childhood but has taken me many years, rife with trials and turmoil, to sense but a fraction of art’s extraordinary depths and unbridled power.
“We sometimes debate the validity of art, regarding what is true or truest in terms of necessity. Spiritualism is sometimes excluded from our list of necessities. We sometimes point to gods or stars, gazing outward into the void for answers of the spirit. Each path is relevant to the individual shaped by it. Art is another door through which we find transformation. It is a reflection of things exterior but also, at its loftiest peak, is likewise a stark reflection of the soul within.
